hey guys! so with mp100 season 2 coming up soon i’ve noticed lots of content warnings popping up for the mogami arc, which takes the story into much darker territory. however, outside of the mogami arc, there are many other moments and images that might be potentially triggering for viewers who aren’t expecting them. some of these are:
- a mini-arc involving sexual harassment and stalking. it’s treated very seriously and respectfully, and ends up being important to the story, but it might potentially be uncomfortable for some people to watch
- likewise, a “flasher” targeting young girls is a prominent plot point in the first major arc of the season. this is also treated (mostly) seriously and is condemned in-universe
- spirits and demons are far more visually disturbing than in previous chapters
- typical bullying
- generally much more blood, gore, and explicit violence
- it’s mp100 so choking/strangulation is a given
if the devourer mini-arc is covered (it was a crossover with another manga, but the art was done by ONE so it may be included):
- again, lots of gore
- mass murders mentioned in conversation
- unreality/dream-state
- disturbing creature pictured eating humans
if the world domination arc is covered (anything after the marathon mini-arc):
- a house fire featuring burned corpses
- strong implications of relational & parental abuse, involving stockholm syndrome and brainwashing
- on-screen death (of mooks, but still)
- depictions of agoraphobia and panic attacks
- firearms, both psychic and with real bullets
- VERY heavy body horror, including twisted/broken limbs and eye trauma
this season marks mp100’s turn from a slice-of-life action comedy to a supernatural horror comedy. please heed the content warnings as much as you can. and for those who’ve read the manga, if i’ve forgotten something, please let me know and i’ll add it here!
